As part of the expansion of the Memorial Union Building our firm was commissioned to undertake the interior redesign of Louis’ Pub & Eatery.
The U.S.S.U. requested the new look for Louis’ – one that would complement a new more modern menu, and that would be unique among its competitors. The result was a retro-modern industrial aesthetic comprised of durable, common materials that have been treated in unique ways. Corrugated metal, ground mill steel, stained concrete, varnished MDF, and translucent glazing combine with varied lighting effects to create a warm, inviting restaurant atmosphere during the day, and an exciting, visually stimulating nightclub after hours.
