This three-storey condominium apartment building consists of twenty two-bedroom and six single bedroom living units of superior quality, plus an amenity room and below ground and street level parking to accommodate 36 cars.
The design is unusual for this type of building in that it reflects many traditional design features, proportions and materials contained in the older houses which were relocated/demolished to create this vacant site within the Transitional Area of Regina. The street facades contain five different "houses" which are separated by deep recesses containing set back balconies. The focal point of the development faces the junction of 15th Avenue and McIntyre Street, and consists of a carpenter's tower, which is surrounded at ground level by a usable verandah off the amenity room.
While the building exterior is fitting with the residential nature of the area, behind the facade lays a relatively simple rectangular form. |
